In the year 1996, a group of IITians, established CATJEE, with an urge to set standards of excellence and perfection in the quest for a place in IITs and other reputed engineering colleges. Ever since, its popularity and demand for classroom contact programs have increased exponentially. The expertise and devotion of the teachers at CATJEE and the methodologies followed by them have garnered a definite confidence amongst the students, parents, schools, and public in general. And consequentially today, CATJEE is considered, to be a premier institute for IITJEE/NEET.
Taking the urge forward, for imparting education with such excellence to medical aspirants as well, CATJEE has now embarked into the field of NEET preparation also. And true to its legacy, CATJEE students have delivered excellent results in NEET entrance too.

A Modest Beginning
As destiny had it, life and circumstances brought two strangers together, to embark upon an eventful journey. And with this togetherness, came to fore an institution, which set a shining example in the field of education. Today, this institution- ‘Council of Alumni of IITs for Joint Entrance Examination (CATJEE)’ is a leading coaching institute in the region, for the preparation of entrance exam of IITs add NEET, besides running comprehensive schooling programs. The two strangers Srikrushna Kumar Agrawal and Prateek Upadhyay, both Directors at CATJEE, have become symbols of excellence in their expertise subjects Mathematics and Chemistry respectively.
They began with a very modest center in Naria, a place near Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, with just one peon besides them both. But as they say, "with hard work, there are no limits", the institute grew in leaps and bounds under the able leadership of the founding directors. Within a few years they moved to a lush green campus in Mahmoorganj, Varanasi, which is one of the biggest coaching campus in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
People At CATJEE
The success of an institute lies in the intellectual capital that the institute acquires and makes part and parcel of its existence. CATJEE that began with just a single peon besides the two directors in 1996, has today to its credit numerous supporting staff and highly qualified teachers. The institute was shifted to Mahmoorganj, Varanasi in 2002, and there, it has now 30 faculty members, 50 non-teaching staff, and innumerable successful students qualifying every year for the most prestigious engineering/medical colleges of India.
This is the sheer determination and hard work of the founding directors, whose vision and direction have made the institute the topmost revered, preparatory academic institute of Purvanchal for engineering and medical aspirants.
